Please read carefully, we will not accept AI written proposals. 3 Month Contract, Part-time ~1800-2000$/month depending on the talent's capabilities, portfolio and proposal Studio Circa is looking for a senior designer (independent, no agencies/studios) to join us part-time for an initial three-month contract. This role is centered on a high-profile hospitality engagement in the United States, with a primary focus on developing three distinct F&B outlet brands for a prestigious hotel property. This is an exciting opportunity for a designer with strong hospitality or F&B experience, a refined visual sensibility, and a thoughtful brand-building process rooted in narrative, strategy, and cultural reference. You’ll work closely with our Creative Director throughout the engagement, with regular touchpoints each week for feedback, direction, and review. We’re looking for someone who can bring strong creative thinking and high-level execution to the table while collaborating within an established strategic and creative process. About the Role Over this three-month period, your main focus will be supporting the development of three F&B brand sprints for one hotel client. These projects will involve shaping brand identity systems with depth, distinction, and a strong connection to concept, history, and experience. Alongside these core projects, you may also support on additional studio work as time allows, including hospitality brand applications, print collateral, and design production needs across other client accounts. What You’ll Be Doing • Support the development of three F&B outlet brands for a luxury hotel client • Translate strategy, narrative, references, and historical context into compelling visual brand directions • Create identity systems with strong typography, layout, and concept development • Contribute to moodboards, creative references, visual exploration, and brand presentation materials • Design supporting brand applications such as menus, stationery, signage concepts, and other guest-facing touchpoints • Prepare print-ready files for production where needed • Collaborate closely with our Creative Director through recurring reviews, feedback sessions, and creative checkpoints • Support on additional hospitality-related design work across the studio during available time Who We’re Looking For We’re looking for a designer who brings both strategic sensitivity and high craft to their work and precise attention to detail. The ideal candidate: • Has senior-level brand design experience • Has experience in hospitality, F&B, restaurants, or hotels • Can show a strong portfolio with relevant work in these spaces • Has a strong process for developing brands through history, narrative, references, positioning, and strategy • Has excellent typographic skills, composition, and hierarchy • Has a precise attention to detail • Has strong visual taste and the ability to create work with depth and distinctiveness • Brings illustration skills or a strong illustrative sensibility • Has experience with print production, including menu design, stationery systems, and production file setup • Is comfortable receiving direction and iterating within a collaborative creative process • Is organized, responsive, communicative, and able to manage part-time project work with consistency Working Style This is a collaborative role with regular support and direction from our Creative Director. You’ll have multiple touchpoints each week to review progress, align on feedback, and maintain a high creative standard across the work. Communication will happen primarily through: • Email • Video calls • Potentially Slack You should be equipped with the appropriate tools to collaborate on shared working files, including Adobe Creative Suite.
