React / TypeScript Engineer – AI Maritime SaaS (Launch & Scale)

ProcureSea is an AI-powered maritime procurement & inventory management platform built for commercial vessels and superyachts. The core web platform is built with: React 18 + TypeScript (Vite) Node.js + Express PostgreSQL (Neon serverless) Drizzle ORM Stripe Billing OpenAI (GPT-4 Vision + GPT-4) Gmail & Outlook OAuth integrations The architecture, database schema (30+ tables), and 120+ REST endpoints are already in place. Core features are implemented including: Multi-tenant vessel onboarding Role-based access control (3 tiers across 7 departments) AI visual inventory scanner Supplier discovery + RFQ automation Configurable approval chains PO + invoice workflow with 3-way matching Stripe subscription billing Admin portal with analytics I am looking for a creative, ambitious engineer to: Finish remaining production-level refinements Harden the system for public launch Improve performance, stability, and UX polish Help prepare for scaling Eventually lead the migration to React Native (mobile app) This is not a short freelance task. I want someone who wants ownership and long-term involvement. What You’ll Be Doing Reviewing existing architecture and identifying improvements Refining backend workflows (procurement, approvals, invoice matching) Production-hardening authentication, billing, and background jobs Improving performance (query optimisation, caching strategy) Helping prepare CI/CD and deployment standards Advising on technical roadmap for React Native transition Potentially leading the React Native build phase Ideal Profile 1–3 years experience with React + TypeScript Comfortable with Node.js and REST APIs Strong understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL) Experience with multi-tenant SaaS architecture is a plus Stripe integration experience is a plus Comfortable reading existing code and improving it Wants to grow with a startup rather than just deliver tickets I care more about intelligence, initiative, and problem-solving ability than years of experience.
