This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for operational excellence, data-driven decision-making, and mentorship, capable of guiding complex projects from conception through deployment. **Qualifications** The ideal candidate will possess 8-10+ years of extensive experience in backend development and machine learning. Strong proficiency in Python and experience with distributed processing frameworks such as Hadoop, Spark, Airflow, or Dask are essential. You should have a proven track record working with very large datasets, performing statistical analysis, data quality control, and storage optimization. Cloud expertise is critical, including deployment and management of infrastructure in cloud environments. Candidates should demonstrate a solid understanding of geospatial algorithms, operational excellence, and a growth mindset. Leadership experience in mentoring engineering teams, excellent communication skills, and a data-informed approach to decision-making are highly valued.
