Community & Brand Growth Manager (Full-Time, Remote) Location: Remote — Canada preferred Hours: 40 hours/week Compensation: $3,000–3,500 USD/month (depending on experience) Reports to: Head of Customer Experience About Us We sell premium home security products to customers across North America. Our customers are cabin owners, ranchers, farmers, and property owners who need reliable security in remote, off-grid locations where cheap alternatives fail. We launch new products regularly and are growing fast. The Role You own two things: our online reputation and our community-driven growth. On the reputation side, you engage with potential customers where they already spend time — Reddit, Quora, Facebook Groups, forums, Amazon Q&A, and comment sections — building trust through authentic, helpful conversations. You become a recognized, knowledgeable voice in the communities our customers belong to. On the growth side, you build and manage a network of real customers who become advocates. Not influencers with big followings — real people with 200–700 followers whose friends actually trust them. You recruit them, support them, coach them on creating great content, collect their honest reviews and UGC, and turn that into fuel for our marketing engine. You are our ears on the ground. You know what customers say about us, what they say about competitors, what questions keep coming up, and which customer stories are worth sharing. What You'll Do Ambassador Program & Referrals (Primary Focus) Find and recruit real customers who post about their experience — not influencers, real people in real communities Manage ambassador relationships: onboarding, incentives, ongoing communication Coach ambassadors on creating great content — what to film, how to post, what makes a review helpful Collect honest reviews and user-generated content (photos, videos, testimonials) and pass to the creative team Manage our referral program — maintain existing affiliate relationships and grow the network organically Track which ambassadors and communities generate the most engagement and referrals Community Engagement Become a genuine, helpful presence in online communities where our customers discuss home security, off-grid living, and property protection Build your reputation as a knowledgeable voice in the off-grid security space through consistent, authentic participation Comment on our social media ads and YouTube videos to build social proof and answer questions Answer customer questions on Amazon product listings Identify and join new communities monthly Reputation & Brand Intelligence Build systems that encourage satisfied customers to leave reviews Monitor reviews across all platforms — flag negative trends early Track what AI assistants (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI) say about home security products Mine customer stories and package as raw material for the marketing team Report weekly on sentiment, competitor activity, and community trends Requirements Based in Canada (smaller cities preferred — we value cultural proximity to our customer base) Native English speaker with writing that sounds natural and conversational, not corporate Active Reddit or Quora user — you already participate in online communities personally Comfortable building relationships with strangers online — you can turn a happy customer into an advocate Self-directed — you identify what needs doing and take action without waiting for instructions Low AI dependence — you use AI as a tool, not a crutch for your writing Comfortable with time tracking software (Hubstaff) Nice to Have Experience managing affiliate, referral, or ambassador programs Experience in home security, smart home, outdoor, or off-grid space Familiarity with Amazon product listings and review platforms Understanding of how AI recommendation engines work Personal connection to rural, off-grid, or homesteading lifestyle You'll Succeed If You already spend personal time on Reddit, Quora, or online forums Your writing sounds like a real person having a real conversation You can spot a potential brand advocate in a comment section and know how to approach them You understand that being helpful builds more trust than being promotional You notice patterns — the same question in 3 communities tells you something You think about outcomes (trust built, referrals generated, sentiment shifted) not activities (posts made, hours spent) This Is Not For You If You rely on AI to write most of your content Your writing sounds formal, stiff, or like marketing copy You think community management means scheduling social media posts You need detailed instructions for every task You have never used Reddit or online forums You are looking for part-time or have other active clients Hiring Process Quick application (2–3 minutes) Short questionnaire (10-15minutes) Paid work sample + Loom video (~2.5 hours, compensated) 30-minute interview with CEO One reference check Decision within 48 hours
