3D Character Artist for Hard-Surface Robot Animation

Overview We're a Sydney-based video production company looking for a freelance 3D artist to model, rig, and animate a branded robot character across 5 live action video deliverables. The character will be composited into live action footage by our in-house post team in After Effects. The Project 1 x stylised hard-surface robot character (full reference sheet provided) 5 x unique animation shots, each up to 30 seconds Different character action required in each shot Final deliverables composited in After Effects by our team What We Need From You Model the character to match the provided reference sheet Full rig suitable for character animation Animate 5 individual shots based on briefs we'll provide Render each shot with clean alpha channel + separate shadow pass Deliver in a format ready for After Effects composite You're the Right Fit If You Have a strong portfolio of stylised 3D character work (hard surface preferred) Are comfortable working from a detailed character reference sheet Have experience delivering assets for live action VFX composite Can communicate clearly and hit deadlines without hand-holding Have worked with international clients remotely before Technical Requirements Deliver renders as EXR or PNG sequence with alpha Separate shadow/occlusion pass required Frame rate and resolution to be confirmed on briefing (likely 25fps, 1080p or 4K) Software flexible — we care about the output, not what you use Budget AUD $5,000–$8,000 for the full scope (model, rig, 5 x animated shots, final render delivery) Timeline To be confirmed — looking to move quickly.
