About Mini Katana Mini Katana isn’t your typical media company—we’re the team behind multiple viral YouTube channels that have grown to 20M+ subscribers and billions of views in under four years. We’re now expanding globally and looking for a Short-Form Content Creator to help us scale our presence across TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Instagram Reels. If you love katanas, martial arts, anime, or Japanese culture—and know how to turn that passion into scroll-stopping content—we want to see what you can create. Company Details Website: YouTube: The Role We’re hiring a creator who can own the full content pipeline—from idea to execution. You’ll be responsible for pitching, filming, and editing original short-form videos, while working closely with our growth team to test, refine, and scale high-performing content. Responsibilities Conceptualize and storyboard engaging short-form videos Film content in a variety of environments (city, countryside, or home studio) Edit videos optimized for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts Own the full pipeline: idea → shoot → edit → publish Stay on top of trends, memes, and anime/culture crossovers Iterate quickly using performance data and feedback Requirements (What We Care About) You can create highly engaging short-form videos people want to watch and share Strong on-camera presence (required) Comfortable working in fast feedback loops Data-driven and experimental mindset Able to work independently and meet deadlines Must be fluent in English (spoken and written) Nice-to-Haves (Not Required) Experience growing a social media following or YouTube channel Familiarity with editing tools (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, etc.) Voice-over or strong storytelling ability Basic motion graphics skills Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay (based on experience and location) Flexible schedule Remote-friendly work culture Access to US-based content studio resources Note: Benefits may vary depending on your location.
