Freelance Video Editor (Post-Production Focus)

We’re looking for a freelance video editor to take ownership of post-production across a series of brand, customer, and product films. This is not basic trimming. We need someone who understands pacing, tone, and visual consistency — and can elevate raw footage into premium, cinematic content. You’ll be responsible for shaping narrative through tight cuts, refined color grading, thoughtful text treatments, and polished lower thirds that feel intentional and design-forward. Scope of work Edit long-form and short-form videos (brand films, customer profiles, launch videos, social cutdowns) Shape story through tight pacing and clean transitions Perform high-quality color correction and cinematic color grading Design and animate lower thirds and on-screen text treatments Add accurate, well-timed subtitles and captions Integrate light motion graphics where appropriate Export deliverables optimized for multiple formats (YouTube, LinkedIn, website, paid ads) What we’re looking for Strong portfolio showing refined, premium work Deep experience with color grading (not just LUTs slapped on footage) Strong typographic taste and motion sensibility Clean lower thirds that feel designed, not templated Excellent pacing instincts for interview-driven content Comfort working from structured scripts and creative direction Proficiency in Premiere Pro or Final Cut; After Effects preferred Organized project management and clear communication Nice to have Experience working with founders or executive interviews Ability to build reusable text/lower-third systems for consistency Familiarity with documentary-style storytelling Working style Freelance / contract Project-based with potential for ongoing collaboration Fast feedback loops and high creative standards We care about visual taste, rhythm, and clarity.
